Scientific research

In the first few guidelines when Institute was established, it says: "Work on scientific research in the field of biology, medicine, pedagogy, psychology, sports facilities and grounds, from the aspect of physical education."

From documents for the work in this field says a lot document number 07-149 / 1 March 1959, addressed to the Federal Institute of Physical Education, in which the Federal Institute reports that "The Center completed 14 scientific - research works, two are in process of making, in preparation 4 more". By the way, we note, more for interestingness of language which was then used, that in same document, in addition to the above, announcing "Eventualies", ie. ideas about what would be still able to work.

Besides direct work on scientific research projects, Institute staff participated in the works of the institutions that define mentioned projects. So at the request of the Federal Institute of Physical Education in december 31, 1959, proposal for members of the scientific department in the field of physical education in the Federal Commission for Physical education was submitted. The center proposed from Vojvodina Aleksej Ber, Dr. Živojin Gavrilović research assistant of Serbian Academy of Sciences, Department of Medical Research ("three years he was Center external collaborator "), Dejan Lazic - Center statisticians and four doctors from Vojvodina dealing with scientific - research work in the field of sports medicine.

Intensive work in this field was continued until the establishment of the Faculty of Physical Education, and it received this jurisdiction. However, considering that to the faculty belong primarily fundamental scientific research, and that the Institute, on the source of empirical knowledge, especially those that have direct application in practice, Institute has taken the initiative and with the Decision on fulfillment of conditions for scientific research of on Science and Informatic Provincial Committee on 4 August 1988, again officially included in its activities.

On the basis of that decision, and formalized in the Statute, scientific unit that participated realization of several research projects that are financed by responsible institutions was founded.
